At the heart of the St. Christophe Chapel in La Sage, Switzerland, the project responds to the partial collapse of the existing roof structure. Rather than reconstructing the missing parts, the intervention reinforces what remains. The preserved slate covering continues to protect the painted walls and existing stone structure, while exposing part of the interior to light and weather. A cast concrete slab stabilizes the existing masonry. A circular steel basin becomes both an object and a spatial device that reflects what lies above.
